The river is flowing through my veins
My toes are walking but are numb
My hunger’s driving me insane
My pockets are full of crumbs

I struggle about to keep still
As the wind it hurls around
Skeleton’s hanging on the hill
Keeping watch over the town

For why did I come to this place
People they come here to die
Come drive the shadows from my face
And the echoes ringing in my eyes

You were never here to be missed

So far away when I was young
The air was crisp it was clean
