All I Ask 05:04
All I Ask I’m just a poor boy There was nothing I could do I never had a chance, unlike you I worked so hard all my days The money I earned was spent before I got paid All I ask when my day is done Is that I’ll be remembered with affection by everyone All I ask when my day is done Is that I’ll be remembered with affection by everyone Yeah, I made enemies along the road I’ve seen so many stories still to be told If I’ve done wrong then please forgive We never know how long we get to live I’ve known love for most of my time Been through dark tunnels along the line Been through times they were good and were bad I’ve been happy and I’ve been sad But all I ask when my day is done Is that I’ll be remembered with affection by everyone All I ask when my day is done Is that I’ll be remembered with affection, with affection I tried not to hurt anyone At one time I followed The Son Never forget we’re made of dust To dust we’ll return when we must I wanna live for as long as I can But the truth is that I’m just a man I’ll accept my fate when the time comes And my soul will fly up towards the sun All I ask, all I ask when my day is done That I’ll be remembered with affection by everyone All I ask when my day is done Is that I’ll be remembered with affection by everyone, with affection Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 383808FR

How Long Must We Wait? I’ve been waiting for you to come Like night time waits for the rising sun To give light and life to this earth Like a good Mother giving birth I’ll follow you till the end of time For as long as the sun continues to shine For as long as the earth turns in space How long, how long till I see your face? How long must I wait? How long must I wait? How long must I wait? How long, how long must I wait? Your face will shine brighter than the sun You will be seen by everyone There’s a donkey in the stable He’s willing, ready and able How long must we wait? How long must we wait? How long must we wait? How long must we wait? One day you’ll be here I can’t say what day or year For I know and believe that it’s true I have always put all my faith in you Just give us the word That all the world will hear That you’re on the way I can’t wait for that day How long must I wait? How long must I wait? How long must I wait? How long must I wait, Lord? Your face will shine brighter than the sun You will be seen by everyone There’s a donkey in the stable He’s willing, ready and able How long must we wait? How long must we wait? How long must we wait? How long must we wait? How long must we wait? Tell me, how long must we wait? How long must we wait? How long must we wait? Tell me, how long? Bridges And Walls Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Bridges and walls I’ve been to many lands with different names And I found there that everyone is the same People are people wherever you go They wanna be happy and see their children grow Let’s build bridges for our children to cross It really doesn’t matter what the cost Come-on let’s help build that bridge of hope That will bring together ordinary folk Let’s build bridges and join our hands So that everyone around the world will understand Let’s knock down walls that stand wide and tall So that ignorance and hate will eventually fall Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Walls keep you in and keep you out That’s why they are built what they are all about I’d much rather build a bridge than a wall And bring peace and happiness to one and all We’ll cross that bridge to the other side We’ll join hands and nothing will divide There’s always hope that we’ll be as one After all we all see the same rising sun Let’s build bridges for our children to cross It really doesn’t matter what the cost Let’s knock down walls that stand wide and tall So that ignorance and hate will eventually fall Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Bridges and walls Walls keep you in and keep you out That’s why they are built what they are all about I’d much rather build a bridge than a wall And bring peace and happiness to one and all And bring peace and happiness to one and all And bring peace and happiness to one and all Peace and happiness to one and all And bring peace and happiness to one and all Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 406875HW

Were Those The Days? Those were the days of wine, women and song Oh Mary, don’t tell me that I’m wrong Has nostalgia made me blind? Can I be so wrong this time? Those were the days Were those the days? All lost in a foggy haze Those were the days Were those the days? Things were better then, or so they say More time to breathe, more time to play Maybe my mind's playing tricks Now or then, should I pick? I was younger then and in my prime Things have changed with the passage of time Things were slow, now they move too fast In this day and age things aren’t built to last This day and age things aren’t built to last Those were the days Were those the days? All lost in a foggy haze Those were the days Were those the days? Those were the days of wine, women and song Oh Mary, don’t tell me that I’m wrong Has nostalgia made me blind? Can I be so wrong this time? Those were the days Were those the days? All lost in a foggy haze Those were the days Were those the days? Those were the days Were those the days? Am I Good Enough For You? You took me in and touched my soul I was broken up you made me whole Am I good enough for you? You showed me again how to live I was empty you made me give Am I good enough for you? Are your emotions just a game Ecstasy and pain are they the same Am I good enough for you? Am I good enough for you? You healed my scars You felt my pain You followed me then Through the pouring rain Am I good enough for you? Am I good enough for you? Sharing love with only you My love will always be true Am I good enough for you? I was lost with you I'm found My love for you knows no bounds Am I good enough for you? Am I good enough for you? You took me in and touched my soul I was broken up you made me whole Am I good enough for you? Are your emotions just a game Are they the same You healed my scars You felt my pain You led me then Through the pouring rain Am I good enough for you? Am I good enough for you? The River Is Wide The river’s so wide Carry me a cross Carry me across To the other side The river’s so wide Carry me a cross Carry me across To the other side The river is wide I crossed the Jordan to be where you are Your love is greater than the brightest star I’ll be with you till the end of the earth Only you know what my love for you is worth The river is wide, the river is wide, the river is wide The river’s so wide Carry me a cross Carry me across To the other side The river’s so wide Carry me a cross Carry me across To the other side I am found where once I was lost It took so long to carry me across You carried me safe in your arms You protected me from hurt and harm I can’t believe that I survived I can’t believe that I’m here alive You helped me to make it through I wouldn’t have made it without you The river is wide, the river is wide, The river is wide, the river is wide The river’s so wide You carried me a cross You carried me across To the other side I’ll always be by your side My love for you I cannot hide You saved me from my certain fate I’ll face the world and all its hate Though I face scorn every day of the week You taught me how to turn the other cheek They can’t understand what it is I feel That my love for you is eternally real The river’s so wide You carried me a cross You carried me across To the other side The river’s so wide, the river’s so wide You carried me a cross You carried me across To the other side The river’s so wide Everyone put your hand's together The river is so wide The river’s so wide Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 288370AW

Years of Plenty Father would tell me With pride in his eyes 'Tomorrow you'll see The Turtle-Dove fly Just wait and see Tomorrow they'll be Years of plenty Years of plenty For you and me' Although we were poor And it was hard to cope Life was like a war 'Never give up hope' It's what he'd say to me 'Your spirit will fly free Yes, in years of plenty For you and me' 'To enjoy good times You've had to suffer pain To reach the sunshine You had to walk in the rain' 'To enjoy good times You've had to suffer pain To reach the sunshine You had to walk in the rain Walk in the rain' 'The tunnel's so long The end's within view For we must be strong To make it on through Then when that time comes Our hearts will sing We'll dance in the sun We'll dive in the spring Years of plenty For you and me Years of plenty For you and me Years of plenty For you and me Years of plenty For you and me' I'm staring at the door Waiting for that knock Since Father's been gone I've felt I've been lost But I remember that What he'd say to me As I sat on his knee Is 'Always believe In years of plenty For you and for me For you and for me' Years of plenty Years of plenty Years of plenty For you and me Years of plenty, Lord Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 372310DS

The Answer to My Prayers The day is almost done I haven’t yet begun To think about the night When the stars shine bright Lighting from the power above Lighting his love The sun is sinking low It must be time to go I feel a chilly breeze Blow through my memories Calling to the power above Calling for love A star from heaven fell A good sign I could tell I made a wish inside I opened up my eyes Wishing to the power above Wishing for love When I called out through the air I knew that you were there Telling me that you cared You were the answer to my prayers You were the answer to my prayers At night I’m not alone I feel it in my bones I feel Him here with me I feel it completely Dreaming to the power above Dreaming of love A rainbow lights the way It shines bright in the day Follow it to the end Though it winds and it bends Leading to the power above Leading to love When I called out through the air I knew that you were there Telling me that you cared You were the answer to my prayers When I called out through the air I knew that you were there Telling me that you cared You were the answer to my prayers You were the answer to my prayers You were the answer to my prayers You were the answer to my prayers You were the answer to my prayers Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 314791FN

I Have a Dream I have a dream, I have a dream, I have a dream There’s a new day a-dawning There’s a dove in the sky It’s a wonderful morning To be alive There’s a baby crying There’s lambs in the fields Butterflies are flying Over the hills A time of peace Over this world Hatred has ceased For men, women, boys and girls For men, women, boys and girls There’s no more war Or hurt or pain Now there’s no locked doors And falls pure rain Man has ceased After all this time To uncage the beast Hear the bells chime Hear the bells chime A time of peace Over this world Hatred has ceased For men, women, boys and girls The walls are down There are no lines Dividing the towns With no entry signs Love has won We hoped it would Destroy the guns Now do only good Now do only good, only good Love has won We hoped it would Destroy the guns Now do only good A time of peace Over this world Hatred has ceased For men, women, boys and girls I have a dream I believe will come true I have a dream Will you share it too? In The Vineyard These hazy days these lazy days Will last forever I pray With the sun up above Shining down with love As sweat runs down my brow I wish you were here now Walking through the vineyard so green With the sweetest grapes ever seen Come pick the fruit of the vine Come let’s drink the sweet wine Come let’s eat the bread And remember The One risen from the dead In the cellars like a tomb The wine will ferment and bloom Fill the caskets of brown oak Seal the corks with fire and smoke Our cup is full and overflows One day we’ll reap what we sow I live here under the sun I always knew you were The One Sometimes I strayed and got lost But trying to be free has its cost Looking up to the top of that hill It seems that time has forever stood still Walking through the vineyard so green With the sweetest grapes ever seen Come pick the fruit of the vine Come let’s drink the sweet wine Come let’s eat the bread And remember The One risen from the dead When the moon replaces the sun When my working day is done Sweet Mary, let me lie in your arms When the moon replaces the sun When my working day is done, is done Sweet Mary, let me lie in your arms Sweet Mary, it’s the only place I can feel safe from harm When the moon replaces the sun When my working day is done Sweet Mary, let me lie in your arms Sweet Mary, it’s the only place I can feel safe from harm, from harm Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 406875KT

We Were The Young Ones We were the young ones Or so they all said We were the young ones I was well schooled and well read We were the young ones My back aches my feet are like lead We were the young ones All these memories ringing in my head I woke up this morning With the sun in my eyes Alone in my bed And the room full of flies I switched on the TV With the remote control There was a plastic woman Saying she’s 'the new living doll’ We were the young ones Like a shiny new car We were the young ones Now covered in marks and scars We were the young ones All fresh and unwed We were the young ones Well these tyres have worn treads Oh we were the young ones We were the young ones We were the young ones I’ve been rocking and rolling For most of my days Been through the rain And the purple haze Never ever thought As I went round the world That girls could be boys And that boys could be girls We were the young ones Or so they all said We were the young ones We’ve all been so mislead We were the young ones In those times well past We were the young ones I wish those times could last Oh we were the young ones We were the young ones We were the young ones People just don’t talk anymore It’s all done by text Feelings are cheap Like throwaway sex I was always taught to show respect I’m told I’m like an old shipwreck We were the young ones My back aches my feet are like lead We were the young ones All these memories ringing in my head We were the young ones In those times well past We were the young ones I wish those times could last We were the young ones In those times well past We were the young ones I wish those times could last We were the young ones Or so they all said We were the young ones We’ve all been so mislead Oh we were the young ones We were the young ones We were the young ones Oh we were the young ones We were the young ones We were the young ones Music composed and performed by Manuel Stübinger GEMA No. 1233213-000 (Germany) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 389997HU

Show Me The Way l So dark is The Way And cold is the night It’s so easy to stray Show me your light From the circle of ice To the ring of fire The darkness will rise On the wings of desire By the light of thy soul Show me the way By the light of thy soul Everyday I was lost in the night And you showed me the way Turned darkness to light By you I’ll stay From the circle of ice To the ring of fire The darkness will rise On the wings of desire By the light of thy soul Show me the way By the light of thy soul Everyday You’re the first and the last You’re the light of this earth You’re the future and past You gave my life worth By the light of thy soul Show me the way By the light of thy soul Everyday, everyday, everyday * Music composed & performed by Luke Jackson PRS No. 664607037 (London) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London) PRS Tunecode 389997KR

about

BELIEF - the new album from 'Les Paul's' (The Paul's) with international guest artists including songs written for the UK’s legendary Sir Cliff Richard.
As a result of the album’s song lyricists’ Paul Robert Thomas’s co-written song opening the Hallmark Movie Channel's 2018 film, 'Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane' starring Angela Witt and Colin Ferguson, Paul was contacted by Sir Cliff Richard’s P.A. who invited Paul to write and submit songs for Sir Cliff’s then upcoming 2020 tour and album. Paul went to work with a number of worldwide artists from Canada, Germany, Switzerland and in The UK creating songs but alas the songs were not accepted as the 2020 Tour was cancelled due to the Corona-virus with no expectations as to when the tour would now take place, and so Paul included a number of the songs that he co-wrote for Sir Cliff Richard with other international artists on 'Les Paul's' (The Paul's) new album BELIEF.
