Hair Like Bob Dylan lyrics I wish that I had hair just like Bobby Dylan Maybe then the world would be willing To listen to my song We shall overcome The ones who rule by fear Leaving for too long our freedoms to be squandering I have a dream one day truth and justice will prevail The winds of hope and love will fill each sail When we let freedom ring In every song we sing Together we can bring A world where all Gods children live in harmony I wish that I had hair just like Bobby Dylan Just maybe then you would be willing To make a stand and sing with me A brotherhood in symphony Jangling discords turn to be A world where all Gods children live in harmony © 2009-2021 Ron Gallagher

Dylan Dreams 04:17
Dylan Dreams lyrics A drunken blonde in a costume of a monk Was the chauffeur for the wolfman who ain’t nothin but a punk The shoeless undertaker looks at the body like a prize Wonders how the soul escapes when a fat man dies What does it mean, what could it be Could this be the way that Dylan dreams A one-eyed man passes in flash while a neon whore Demands I pay in cash The poor little actress is back in bed Is what they mean by getting ahead What does it mean, what could it be Could this be the way that Dylan dreams Meanwhile out on Grand Street the gun fighter Fighting everyone one he meets The poor dumb soldier climbs upon you spirit While the savage politicians just don’t want to hear it What’s it mean, what could it be Could this be the way that Dylan dreams What does it mean, what could it be what does it mean Could this be the way that Dylan dreams Sheet metal memories of cannery role A magazine husband who just had to go Blowin the eye of a hurricane The well-dressed criminals had someone to blame What does it mean, what could it be What does it mean Could this just be the way that Dylan dreams Short black skirt with assassins eyes Napoleon in rags getting cut to size I don’t want to make a mistake Mister Jinks and Miss Lucy just jumped in a lake What does it mean, what could it be Could this be the way that Dylan dreams What does it mean, what could it be Could this be the way that Dylan dreams What does it mean, what could it be Could this be the way that Dylan dreams Bruce Dunn

Dylan Song 02:45
Dylan Song lyrics To the west of the lakes He was raised, On the salt mines. To be the poet of his times He was praised By the wounded. He was the captain of that crew; By heart the captain Bob they knew. And every storm he led em’ to, Another truth he led em’ through. Always standing tall With those hard words and all, Always making small the greatest ocean. Heading left down the coast He would boast Of the red tide. A sickness in the mind, He thought he saw a ghost, In the twilight. To him alone the shape did swoon; To it alone he fixed the tune. Into his type he poured the gloom He read in ink of headline doom. About the motherland, He gathered in his hand The stones from the deepest of her oceans. About the motherland, He gathered in his hand The stones from the deepest of her oceans. May you ride, may you ride, May the wind forever fill your sail. May you never catch the whale, The one you look to find, In these waters. And may you follow far the sun, And may you live for what’s begun. May you always hear the drum And recognize what we’ve become. And may you always stay As restless in the grave Ahead of every wave upon the ocean. And may you always stay As restless in the grave Ahead of every wave upon the ocean Matt Buonincontro

Don’t Criticise What You Can’t Understand lyrics Sitting on a barbed wire fence with the wind blowing in I was just Freewheelin while the times were changing You ain’t going nowhere sang the man with the band Don’t criticise what you can’t understand From the storm you gave me shelter, you took away those lies I could see things clearer without dark eyes The cross was black and the man was waiting to be hanged Don’t criticise what you can’t understand Walking down the highway the river was red with blood The rain was pouring hard and the road was full of mud Its not dark yet I cried and she’ll be back where she belongs Don’t criticise what you can’t understand I gazed into the future to see what lies beyond Everything changed after Blonde on Blonde I’m heading for the Highlands like a wanted man Don’t criticise what you can’t understand Caught visions of Joanna she was cold irons bound She was with little Maggie 4th time around We trailed to Durango walked every grain of sand Don’t criticise what you can’t understand The man on the train a-travellin said his name was Jack Said his heart was in Mississippi and he don’t look back He told me he was love sick and death is not the end Don’t criticise what you can’t understand I thought of blind Willie in a series of dreams He had to crawl out my window and played the tambourine He was only a hobo and walked the Grand Coulie dam Don’t criticise what you can’t understand For seven days now you’ve been knocking on my door What was it you wanted I don’t believe you anymore You’re a big girl now and Mama you’ve been on my mind Don’t criticise what you can’t understand I said farewell Angelina she was a friend of mine She lived on 4th street most of the time She wore Spanish boots and the Sad eyed lady sang Don’t criticise what you can’t understand I walked with no direction but things have changed There’s blood on the tracks and buckets of rain Everything has broken Freedom’s chimes have rang Don’t criticise what you can’t understand by Alan Unsworth

Song To Bobby lyrics Hey hey Bobby Dylan I wrote you a song About an ole’ world a world gone wrong It’s post nine eleven and nothin’s the same And everyone’s lookin’ for someone to blame Hey Bobby Dylan I know that you know Travellin’ hard through the wind and the snow From New York to London your fame it did spread A long way from Harry and Suze and Fred Hey Bobby Dylan you’re a gamblin’ man Certainly never a flash in the pan Sometimes you lost but mostly you won No other man could’ve done more that you done When it comes time to take your last bow You can finally wipe the sweat from your brow After thousands of songs and thousands of shows The name of Bob Dylan everyone knows Wrick Wolff

To Bob Dylan – Too Much Travelling lyrics Tell me where you’re heading Let me know your goal We can stay together Hanging out til dawn Maybe our paths cross some place Some point down the road ’cause there’s still too much travelling to go Like a bird that flies far away from home Like an old train running Hear that whistle blow That cowboy feeling catches me And I feel like to ride my horse And I won’t need a map if I get lost All this kind of nonsense Everything’s out of place All what I do is not worth it If I don’t see you again And every time I see your face It’s like stillness in a storm And it’s like as if there isn’t no one else around Wish I had the wisdom of a dying and aging tree Whose leaves are spreading on the hills Wise enough to know his life has seen And felt too much Too much to know everything dies Tell me what you’re thinking While we are in this casual stop We can walk together till it’s time to part Maybe our paths cross some place, some point down the road ’cause there’s still too much travelling to go ’cause there’s still too much travelling to go. Try To Save Someone lyrics You might be the richest man in the world Or a superstar adored by boys and girls Might be a Tom working the streets Might be a cop pounding the beat You might be a model on the catwalk Or a politician that knows how to talk Might be a doctor healing the sick You might be smart you might be thick No matter who you are Why not try to save someone Why not try to save someone Might be in Africa Might be near your home Why not try to save someone? It might be someone begging on the street A baby without water in the burning heat An orphaned child crying in the dust Or a tramp searching through the bins for a crust Why not try to save someone Why not try to save someone You know you can’t take it with you when you go On the grave of the richest man in the cemetery weeds will grow Do good deeds with your time that remains Help loosen the shackles of those in chains Why not try to save someone Why not try to save someone You can turn away and pretend you don’t see Those suffering every day in poverty You’re alright Jack you’re living well Forget about them living in their daily hell Why not try to save someone Why not try to save someone They say you’re the richest country on earth Who knows what you’re really worth You got wealth and money to burn What does it cost to do a good turn Do a good deed it’ll make you feel good To know that you’ve helped someone like you know you should It’s so easy to take and not to give What means more than to help someone to live Why not try to save someone Why not try to save someone You might call me naive with simple ideas But I’ve seen so much suffering through the years Life is precious life is unique Whether strong and rich or poor and weak No matter who you are Why not try to save someone Why not try to save someone Might be in Africa Might be near your home Why not try to save someone? Why not try to save someone Why not try to save someone Might be in Africa Might be near your home Why not try to save someone? Bobby Can You Spare A Dime lyrics Visions of Johanna in Key West Going down to the party like the rest We’re all going down to count Bobby’s cash All going to his 300 million dollar bash! Bobby can you spare a dime? Bobby can you spare a dime? You got all that money in the bank I ain’t got no gas in my tank Bobby can you spare a dime? Don’t give me that silent dirty stare You said ‘Money doesn’t talk, it swears’! We’re all headed towards our doom Don’t need a gold covered tomb Bobby can you spare a dime? Was it all about the money? Was it all about the cash? Who you invited to your 300 million dollar bash? Will Sarah, Mary or Hazel be the star guest? Is Paradise really to be found at Key West? Bobby can you spare a dime? Bobby, were you having us all on? Was it all one gigantic Con? Some thought you were the rising sun The Clean Cut Kid, Born To Run Bobby can you spare a dime? A.J. said a lot, maybe he was right Remember in the alley you had that fight? You sure did trash him alright Then he disappeared outta sight Bobby can you spare a dime? From the same tribe, are we still brothers? At one time we followed the same Mother Bobby can you spare a dime? Bobby can you spare a dime? No-one compared to you in your prime I ain’t-a-saying you didn’t walk the line At one time you were the sign of the times And I know suck cess is not a crime So Bobby can you spare a dime? We bought your Product and we made you rich You threw us under a train, into the ditch Did you sell your soul to the devil or God, which? You went through hard times but now your rich So Bobby can you spare a dime? At the Bash, the one-eyed-midget shouts ‘Golden Cow’ Come on let me milk you now’! As you take the stage in your chinese suit and you bow As the paying crowd scream, ‘We want you, we want you – sing out now’! You know Paul never preached, never stole He gained our hearts, not our souls It’s easy for you to deny your role At the end of the line, one of us must know Bobby can you spare a dime? Well, your empty purse was full of rhymes Now there’s no room for nickels and dimes Your fancy lawyers they guard you well How will you be remembered, time will tell? The world it still burns And He hasn’t returned Soon you too will be gone So before you too pass on Bobby spare us a dime Bobby spare us a dime You got all that money in the bank And we got no gas in our tank Bobby spare us a dime Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London)

Our Prodigal Son (radio mix) lyrics Robert and Bobby were the best of twins They were in the game till the end to win They both loved Rock, Folk and old time Blues Was sometimes a Christian, sometimes tangled up as a Jew They tried to hide their roots and their past Said they’d joined a circus to get away fast But they couldn’t hide from where they came From up in the midwest iron ore range You might think they’re two, but they’re one Both rolled up as the Prodigal Son After the crash when he’d gotten clean He seemed tranquil and no longer mean He hid from the rat race turning wheel And no longer asked ‘How does it feel’? At Woodstock it was a no show You said ‘Not me, no, no, no’ The hippies scene was dead and well done It wasn’t for you, our Prodigal Son The years went by and you stayed away You’d pop up here and there sometimes to play They said you were finished, said you were gone You knew you just had to keep on keeping on Like the wild rover looking for divine love You said you put all your faith in Christ above When that phase was over and was done You returned to us, our Prodigal Son You’ve lived fast and without remorse Driven on by a rumbling force Money came and money went Can it compensate for your torment? You seen so many friends pass on They were here yesterday, now they’re gone You say ‘We’re only passing through’ Well that’s the Prodigal Son’s point of view You taught me to just believe my eyes You said this world is a whirlpool of lies The lions of Judah will all roar When you’re knocking on heaven’s door We’ll be sad and lonesome when you’re gone You’ll return to your heavenly home, our Prodigal Son I’ll remember you when you’re gone And flown up towards the Sun All that will remain will be your song I’d say ‘I was proud to know you, our Prodigal Son’! Music composed and performed by Paul Odiase BMI No. 1252265 (Switzerland) Song lyrics by Paul Robert Thomas PRS No. 497904008 (London)

about

Songs About Bob is an album from ‘Les Paul’s’ (The Paul’s) and friends featuring songs about Bob Dylan with participating artists from around the world.

I, like so many others, love Dylan’s work and I remember the thrill I got when my 1st song was officially released many moons ago. I have since had about 30 albums containing songs I helped create released and have written about 400 songs (the lyrics to), and so my aim is to give an opportunity to unsigned artists to have their songs they have written and recorded about, connected to or inspired by Dylan officially released with no cost to them, I will bear all the requisite costs involved and will release the album through my ‘band’ ‘Les Paul’s’ (The Paul’s) with a 50/50 cut on any Royalties accrued and of course will promote the album to my many friends and followers on social media and through my music sites.
