In December 1976
Bob cared about music not politics
At Bob’s house on Kingston’s Hope Road
They were all in band practice mode

It was 8.30 and getting late
When 2 cars came driving fast through the gate
They shot Bob’s wife Rita in the head
She survived though they thought she was dead

A bullet grazed his chest and went into his arm
Someone phoned the police and raised the alarm

The 7 gunmen then drove away
No one’s sure who sent them to this day
Though at his trial one said ‘It was the C.I.A.’
They executed him, so he couldn’t repeat what he say
